Barun Sobti to star in BBC production’s new show?

Barun Sobti is set to make a return on Indian television with a finite series produced by BBC for ZEE TV.

The star of hit show ‘Iss Pyaar Ko Kya Naam Doon’ and movie ‘Main Aur Mr Riight’, is expected to lead the show, which will air on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.

A source told Absolute India News, ���Barun will be back on a popular GEC in BBC production�۪s new show as the male protagonist. The show is a thriller-based finite series which will air either weekly or biweekly.�۝

The source added, ���The story will revolve around a cop and a con. While Barun will play the role of a police, the con would be essayed by a newcomer. However, the casting for the female lead is still on. The show would be shot in Delhi and reportedly will go on floors from March.�۝

BizAsia contacted Sobti’s manager for a comment but she declined to comment.
