Barkha Sengupta on playing Jashodaben Modi in ‘PM Narendra Modi’

Omung Kumar’s next mega biopic ‘PM Narendra Modi’ stars Vivek Anand Oberoi in the titular role. The role of Mr.Modi’s wife Jashodaben Modi will be played by Barkha Sengupta, popular for her role in Star Plus’ ‘Naamkarann’ (2016-2018). Sengupta has started her research for the role, but says it will be challenging.

As according to TOI, Sengupta said, “We will be shooting in Ahmedabad for the film, and I have started reading a lot on them. The role will be a challenge because not much is known about Jashodaben. I have been to Ahmedabad many times before. I might have to learn to speak with a Gujarati accent for this role. The character will portray many shades. All I can say is, that I am proud to be associated in his biopic.”
