Biopics in Bollywood currently seem to be all the rage. And it’s growing by each biopic release. Last year, the biggest blockbuster was ‘Sanju.’ In fact, it is also the second highest grossing Bollywood film of all-time, inflation adjusted.
While several other biopics are in the making, music maestro Bappi Lahiri recently revealed that he is been approached for a film on his life by a lot of people but he is yet to decide on anything. He, however, confirmed that the biopic will go on floors this year, reports Zoom.
“Yes, a lot of people are approaching me to make a film on my life but I haven’t finalised anything. The biopic should start by this year,” he said. He went on to say, “Actor Ranveer Singh could probably play my younger version…you know the 1970s, 80′ and 90s time.” Singh has been a self-proclaimed fan of Lahiri and recently paid a tribute to him at the 63rd Filmfare awards last year. He had later uploaded a picture with Lahiri with the caption, “Rock Royalty #bappi.”
