Bangla channel NTV set for return in the UK

Bangladeshi service NTV looks set to return after tests of the channel were spotted off the Sky Digital EPG.

NTV was removed from the platform last August when a huge fire disrupted the channel’s output in Bangladesh. Between the time of the fire (in February last year) and August the UK feed had to rely on looped NTV shows.

NTV was distributed by Channel S in the UK, it decided to replace the service with another Bangla offering – Channel I. Prior to its deal with Channel S, NTV was available as part of Vectone TV. So is it the case of time lucky? Let’s watch this space.

Tests of NTV can be viewed in the following way:

-> Using your Sky Digi remote, go to Services Menu
-> System Setup (4)
-> Add Channels (4)
-> Enter the frequency: 11.260 (V), FEC 2/3, Symbol Rate 27500
-> Find Channels and Press SELECT
-> Highlight “52166” service and press Yellow button.
-> Return to Services Menu
-> Other Channels (6) on STB / (8) on Sky+
-> “52166” should be listed and available
