‘Bajirao Mastani’ song launch breaks world record

Today saw the launch of the first song, Gajanana, from the forthcoming film ‘Bajirao Mastani’. BizAsia has learnt that the human formation of Ganpati which happened with the launch has broken world records.

The formation has been listed in the Guinness Book of World Records as the biggest launch ever done for a song. 5,000 students were brought together to create the formation and was very much in line with the scale the film has been shot in. Director and producer Sanjay Leela Bhansali ��is known for his large scale productions and with this film it is thought it will be even more than his previous movies.

Lead actors Ranveer Singh and Deepika Padukone were present at the launch, having been held up by being unable to land on time due to the cloudy weather.

The trailer of the film is expected next month and it’s slated for release on 18th December.
