‘Badhaai Do’ to focus on marriage between gay man & lesbian woman

Following the success of ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018), filmmakers are pushing the boundries even further to tell complex stories. News has it the forthcoming ‘Badhaai Do’, starring Bhumi Pednekar and Rajkummar Rao, is said to show a marriage between a gay man and lesbian woman.

According to Bollywood Hungama, Rao is set to play a cop where Pednekar will sport the role of a PT teacher, who are in what is referred to as a Lavender marriage, focusing on the pressures of family and settling down.

Set to go on floors in January 2021, the film will be directed by Harshavardhan Kulkarni.
