B4U TV’s much publicised presenter search competition came to an end over the weekend. Race 4 The Face has been running for the past few weeks, with two winners finally being confirmed on Saturday night. Neeraj Arora, Senior Vice President Business Development, B4U Network, stated, “Thousands of votes have been cast and we have been amazed by the sheer ambition of our finalists. Our viewers decided that Amandeep Kaur & Gurmej Pawar (pictured left) have what it takes and we are delighted to give them this unique presenting opportunity on B4U Network.”
Viewers witnessed Amandeep and Gurmej?s amazement as their names were announced by B4U Music VJ, Gauhar Khan. Amandeep Kaur, was clearly overjoyed and told viewers, “I?m so excited and I can?t believe that I?ve won! I?m trying to get over the shock and relish the chance to go to India for training. This is a dream come true!” Gurmej confided that his heart skipped a beat as his name was announced, “It has been a nerve racking wait and now I?m so excited with this presenting challenge and I?d like to thank all the viewers who voted for me.”
In the excitement buzzing around B4U TV at the moment, the network has decided to unencrypt B4U Music for non-subscribers. Viewers on Sky Digital can from today view the channel for free until further notice, close sources at the channel have indicated to Biz Asia that this free mode can be permanent.
It was only late last year the channel encrypted after two years of free broadcasting. The free period will also include the debut of the two new fresh presenters-Gurmej and Amandeep.
