B4U has announced the release of its second film at cinemas this month.

‘Tanu Weds Manu’ starring Madhavan, Kangana Ranaut and Jimmy Shergill will be opening up at UK cinemas on Friday 25th February by B4U’s distribution arm – B4U Pictures.

Directed by Aanand Rai, the film tells the story of a sweet and shy NRI doctor, played by Madhavan, who comes to the city of Kanpur to marry a simple girl, played by Kangana. But the seedhi-saadi Kangana is a bold lassie, nowhere close to being simple; instead, she is brash, loves alcohol (neat) and hates arrange marriages. But destiny holds something totally different for these dramatically diverse personalities. When their paths cross, their wonderful story weaves its way through the Indian heartland.

‘Tanu Weds Manu’ is a Viacom18 Motion Pictures film but as it does not have operations set up in the UK, the film was sold to B4U. Incidentally, Studio18, which closed operations last year, was morphed into Viacom18 Motion Pictures. The company will be releasing up to twelve films over the next year.

Earlier this month, B4U Pictures released Akshay Kumar and Anushka Sharma’s family entertainer ‘Patiala House’.
