B4U to launch two UK based shows

In the first phase of the channels attempt to connect more closely with UK audiences, especially those of the second and third generation, B4U Network launches two new series of programmes.

“This is only the first step, there is a much more you can expect in the coming months in programming, technology, events etc. from B4U Movies and B4U Music”, says Sunil Rohra, CEO B4U Network (Europe). A few months ago B4U Network made news with its presenter search ‘Race 4 The Face’ which attracted an overwhelming number of entries from young hopefuls all over the UK. The two winners were selected by a viewers vote and were then sent off to B4U Network’s studios in India for training.

Winners Gurmej and Amandeep have been groomed and trained and ready for their debut presenting roles in the first lot of UK shows to hit B4U Music viewers. The first two series to go on air are ‘Desi Sutra’, a magazine show rounding up recent events and happenings and ‘Uninvited’, a club based show both on B4U Music.

Executive Producer, Anita Roy says “The shows have been created with very novel ideas, for example Desi Sutra has a very special segment called ‘Stepping Stone’ which is a platform where any new and unexposed talent can get exposure on television. We consider ourselves a channel of our viewers; first we let them pick our presenters, now they (our viewers) can use us as a stepping stone to fame”.

Uninvited kicks off on Saturday the 6th of November 2004 at 10:00pm and thereafter is on every Saturday night at the same time.
