Tom Alter to present special B4U Music show

B4U Music will be marking the 100th Anniversary of Indian Cinema with a dedicated new show that will cover the most magical moments of the film industry throughout the century.

The show, 100 Hundred Years Of Indian Cinema۪ will be hosted by the American Indian Bollywood veteran Tom Alter, who has starred in a number of films since the 1970s. Tom will take us on a nostalgic trip through Indian cinema, from the first silent feature Raja Harischandra۪, revisiting the most iconic films like Mother India۪ and Sholay۪, to the more recent box office hits.

Along with the history behind each film, viewers will enjoy a selection of the best music from the classic black and white era all the way through the polyester shirts and bell bottoms, disco music and mini-skirts and into the year 2000 of high school musicals and rom-coms. 100 years of cinema is a big achievement especially for an industry that has been known to release 1,200 films a year.

With the centenary upon us, B4U۪s show 100 Hundred Years Of Indian Cinema۪ will look at the way Bollywood has evolved, from the most loved actors, film themes, genres, costumes and cinematic effects.

This 5 part series, aired once a week, will be a commemoration to an industry that has become a cinematic phenomenon watched by people from across the world. With an insightful, poignant narrative by Tom Alter, viewers can expect to not only re-live the most memorable moments but also learn about the development of Indian cinema, its legendary pioneers, and its position in the global entertainment industry.

Sunil Rohra, CEO Of B4U Network states, We wanted to do something special to mark the 100th anniversary of Indian Cinema.
