B4U Music has been named as the official media partner for the 19th London Asian Film Festival (LAFF) presented by Tongues On Fire (TOF).
Tongues on Fire have revealed their exciting schedule for this year’s edition of the London Asian Film Festival, introducing its all-important theme ‘Memories Beyond Borders’. This year welcomes 70 years of India’s independence, a notable date in India’s history, along with marking the birth of Pakistan. Taking place on the 9th March to 19th March 2017, across a variety of London venues, the Festival comprises a variety of thought provoking stories with a South Asian connection from across the globe.
B4U Music will be promoting the festival across the channel to support, bring awareness and celebrate the immense amount of talented South Asian independent film makers across the world. TOF is proud to announce its UK wide expansion this year with sister festivals Leicester Asian Film Festival (LeAFF) and Edinburgh Asian Film Festival (EAFF) following the Festival’s national success for the past 18 years. Films featured will be exclusive to these city programs, along with a number of standout films from LAFF’s 2017 programme.
Ashok Shenoy, B4U Head of Business International, states, “B4U are excited to be Media Partners of the London Asian Film Festival. Having supported this festival in the past we understand the importance of such platforms to exist. The Film industry is constantly evolving and there are a lot of talented independent Asian directors that are making films that have the potential to reach a commercial audience. We look forward to seeing the gripping and inspirational films in this year’s London Asian Film festival and are working on strategies of how we can continue to support this talent in the long-term. “
Dr Pushpinder Chowdhry, Festival Director from Tongues on Fire, states “Tongues on Fire are thrilled to be working with B4U once again and look forward to a long-lasting partnership bringing important content to wider audiences through our combined reach nationwide with festivals in London, Leicester and Edinburgh.“
