B4U Movies acquires Yash Raj Films movies

In a first for B4U Network, the broadcaster has acquired a slew of movie titles from the Yash Raj Films library.

It’s the first time that the network will screen the movies on its movies channel. The rights of the Yash Raj Films catalogue have thusfar sat exclusively with Sony Entertainment Television Asia. With the exception of ‘Lafangey Parindey’, which was shared with Colors, all other films have aired exclusively on Sony’s flagship channel and film channel, MAX.

The deal seems to be a shared agreement between the two broadcasters as Sony TV will retain rights for the Yash Raj Films library. B4U Movies will air the following titles over the coming weeks, ‘Mohabbatein’, ‘Rab Ne Bana Di Jodi’, ‘Chandni’, ‘Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge’, ‘Mere Yaar Ki Shaadi Hai’, ‘Lamhe’, ‘Silsila’, ‘Kabhi Kabhi’, ‘Mujhse Dosti Karoge’, ‘Tashan’, ‘New York’, ‘Thoda Pyar Thoda Magic’, ‘Salaam Namaste’, ‘Rocket Singh’, ‘Dil To Pagal Hai, amongst many others.

The channel has also bought the rights for ‘Dostana’ and ‘Robot’.
