B4U crowns first War Of The Desi DJ winner

B4U Network has crowned DJ Rugrat as the first winner of the Twiss War Of The Desi DJ competition.

The contest which held auditions in September, set out to find the best DJ�۪s in the Asian music circuit. From the audition four DJs made it through to the final event on Friday where they had to perform a 20 minute set in front of the judges and live crowd.

The innovative finalists DJ Don, DJ Rugrat, and Doni Brasco together formed a competitive contest, with the crowd consisting of supporters cheering for their favourite. However it was DJ Rugrat who won the judges over and was presented with his winner trophy and prize.

DJ Rugrat winner of the B4U Twiss War of The Desi DJ�۪s states, “I would like to thank all of my supporters, winning the competition has left me on a high. I have got some big plans for next year, so keep your eyes and ears open for me.”

On the expert judge�۪s panel were the renowned Asian DJ duo Panjabi Hit Squad, UK Bhangra artist Juggy D and the voice behind Kiss 100�۪s daily lunch show Neev. All judges had to mark each contestant based on their mixing capability, crowd response and originality.

The event was hosted by Raj and Pablo.

The Twiss War Of The Desi DJ auditions will be aired on Saturday 24th December and the Finals on Sunday 25th December on B4U Music.
