B4U appoints new COO for India operations

B4U Network today announced that it has appointed BL Gautum as the Chief Operating Officer of B4U Network ? India Operations. Making the announcement, Mr Sunil Rohra, Global CEO of B4U Network says, ?Mr Gautum is a seasoned media professional who truly understands the intricacies and dynamics of the television industry and Bollywood programming. This is a strategic appointment to consolidate and streamline our operations in India.? The India operation is the nerve centre of B4U Network?s programming and content acquisition activities. Mr Gautum will work in close co-ordination with B4U Network?s business heads in the overseas territories and will report to the Global CEO, Mr Sunil Rohra. Prior to his appointment, Mr Gautum was Senior Vice-President and later a Director Commercial at ZEE Telefilms Ltd (2000-2004). Before joining ZEE, Mr Gautum was a distinguished civil servant and served the Indian Government as the Superintendent of Customs and was awarded the Presidential Award in 1998 for distinguished service in that role. Recently during the year 2004, Mr Gautum became an independent Media Consultant for various clients in the films, television and advertising industry and was associated with Dentsu Marcom Pvt Ltd.
