B-town stars support NDTV Greenathon

The Greenathon is a campaign built up by NDTV and Toyota to help save the environment in India, and help make a difference to the people of the country. Many B-town stars are doing their bit to raise awareness and give their helping hand.

Priyanka Chopra being the brand ambassador for the cause, along with some of her co-stars, has adopted villages in order to build the campaign further and raise money for the case. Hindustan Times��reported that Chopra has adopted 2 villages, with Shahid Kapoor adopting 3, Aamir Khan adopting 5 and Shah Rukh Khan adopting 12. ��With the likes of Arjun Kapoor, Rahul Bose and Bappi Lahri each adopting a village each.

The campaign started in 2008 and is India�۪s first campaign to raise awareness about the environment. With the adoption of villages the campaign has raised Rs. 8.89 crore, and with celebrities raising awareness for the campaign that figure keeps growing.
