‘Azhar’ makers recreate Oye Oye song from ‘Tridev’

The upcoming biopic on ex Indian cricket captain Mohammed Azharuddin, ‘Azhar’, is set in the 90s. As such, the makers of the film are going to recreate the famous song Oye Oye from ‘Tridev’ (1989).

Director Tony D’Souza spoke to Bollywood Hungama, “First of all ‘Ooye Ooye‘ is a song that I really liked, and secondly this track was very popular when Azhar bhai was playing. Apart from this there are no other reasons why we are recreating the track.”

He further adds, “The song will feature Nargis, but we are yet to finalize the second person alongside her. I think in a week’s time we should finalize that as well.”

The song is yet to be shot although it does feature in the recently unveiled trailer. It’s going to be picturised on Fakhri who steps into the role of Sangeeta Bijlani, Azharuddin’s second wife.

The film will be releasing on 13th May.
