‘Vicky Donor’ (2012) fame Ayushmann Khurrana has stated that a film should be made on the cricketing legend Sachin Tendulkar and he wishes to play the maestro’s role in the film.

Making Biopic of some known personalities and garnering success has become quite a trend now for Bollywood, after all films like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’ (2013) and ‘Mary Kom’ (2014) proved out to be both critically and commercially successful.

“I don’t resemble any sports person. I have never thought about it, but I would love to play Sachin Tendulkar. I think he is a legend. You have to make a film on him because we never had such a great batsman in the country. More than an Indian icon, he is a global icon, worth emulating,”Khurrana told Absolute India.

When asked about a sportsperson who can be a good actor, Khurranasaid that the Olympic Silver Medalist shooter Rajyawardhan Singh Rathore can turn out to be a good actor. Rathore is currently a minister in the Prime Minister Narendra Modi cabinet. “Rajvardhan Singh Rathore is a very good looking person. He can be a good actor as he is tall, well-spoken and has gift of the gab. I think he has all the elements of becoming an actor,” he said.

The actor who is awaiting the release of his upcoming flicks, ‘Hawaizada’ and ‘Dum Laga Ke Haisha’, also expressed his desire to do an action film. “I would love to do an action film because nobody expects me to do it, right now. I think that is the agenda as of now,” said Khurrana.
