Ayushmann Khurrana talks about experiencing casting couch

He has climbed up the success ladder at a rate faster than anyone would have anticipated. Ayushmann Khurrana came as a breath of fresh air when he began his film career in 2012 and he just keeps getting better. However, things didn’t always come easy for the actor, who recently revealed his experience with the casting couch.

According to Box Office Worldwide, the actor told the media about an incident where a casting director would only offer him the role if he showed him his ‘tool’. Politely refusing, Khurrana expressed to the man that he was heterosexual and left.

Talking about being rejected for the things he made a stand for when auditioning, the actor expressed, “Initially, there used to be auditions where they would take your solo test. Then suddenly, the number started increasing and there would be 50 people in the same room. When I protested, they asked me to leave. So I have faced rejections.”

His last release ‘Shubh Mangal Zyada Saavdhan’ (2020) addressed a same-sex relationship. During the quarantine, Khurrana has been entertaining his followers with songs, poems and readings that inspire him and motivate him
