Ayushmann Khurrana sued for plagiarism over ‘Bala’
Ayushmann Khurrana is in some legal trouble over his latest project ‘Bala’, along with director Amar Kaushik and producer Dinesh Vijan.
Filmmaker Kamal Kant is suing the makers of ‘Bala’ for plagiarism, Pinkvilla reported. According to Kant, he narrated the story of his project ‘Wig’ to Khurrana on the sets of ‘Barielly Ki Barfi’ (2017), who seemed interested in the concept. Kant, however, never received a call back from Khurrana. Later, he discovered that the actor is a part of a new film which follows the same idea as his own story. After legal notices were ignored by the ‘Bala’ team, a case was filed in Bombay High Court.
‘Bala’ is a romantic comedy about a man suffering from premature balding and a social misfit with a dark complexion, played by Bhumi Pednekar.
