Whilst reports suggested that Shahid Kapoor had no time to spare for Abhishek Chaubey�۪s ��Udta Punjab�۪, BizAsia has learnt that another actor has apparently been added to the cast. It is none other than Ayushmann Khurrana.
Hindustan Times report that a Khurrana has been signed as second male lead, bagging the part over Emraan Hashmi. A source close to the actor stated, ���He got a narration for the film and is excited about it. While he has already done the look test for the character, he is yet to sign the documents,� says a source close to the actor.
Although is is being reported that the female lead is Parineeti Chopra, the actress told BizAsia in a recent interview that she had not been approached for the part as yet.
