Ayushmann Khurrana once told Dharma Productions only works with stars

After Sushant Singh Rajput’s sudden death on Sunday, a number of Bollywood personalities have opened up about nepotism and bullying in the industry.

In an old book excerpt recovered by fans on social media, Ayushmann Khurrana spoke about how he was to make his film debut with Dharma Productions, helmed by Karan Johar. In the interview, he revealed meeting Karan Johar, who gave him a telephone number, however the production house stalled him and eventually told him “only work with stars and thus cannot work with him”.

Khurrana made his debut with Shoojit Sircar’s ‘Vicky Donor’. He has appeared on Johar’s ‘Koffee With Karan’ recently.
