Ayushmann Khurrana on his next ‘Dream Girl’: “It’s about a guy who plays Sita”

Herald for doing unconventional films, Ayushmann Khurrana will be back with another out of the box film, this time donning a yellow saree, sandals and bangles.

Reported by DNA India, Khurrana’s last box office hit ‘Andhadhun’ (2019) with Radhika Apte, saw him play a blind piano player. Now the ‘Vicky Donor’ (2012) actor is set to take it up a notch, in ‘Dream Girl’ where he essays a character of a guy who plays Sita in Ram Leela. “Dream Girl is really unique, really interesting because I get to wear a saree in the film. It’s about a guy who plays Sita in Ram Leela. Traditionally, in our country, we have all seen guys playing Sita, so I’m one of those. He has the unique talent of taking out voices of both male and female. It’s like a full-on commercial film,” said Khurrana.

As for the leading lady, Nushrat Bharucha will be paired opposite the ‘Badhaai Ho’ (2018) actor for the first time. The film is being Raaj Shaandilyaa and produced by Ekta Kapoor’s Balaji Motion Pictures, however the release date has not yet been confirmed.
