Ayushmann Khurrana excited to star in Sriram Raghavan film

BizAsiaLive.com reported some time ago that Sriram Raghavan had signed Ayushmann Khurrana in a forthcoming venture. Khurrana has since said that he’s excited to work with the filmmaker.

Raghavan is known for his unconventional stories and this new film will be no different. Khurrana is quoted by Hindustan Times confirming that he is part of the film, “I’m too excited to do a Sriram Raghavan film. This was in my bucket list”.

A source stated, “Sriram is absolutely tight-lipped about his film but it’s going to be an edgy thriller from him, albeit, in a completely new world. Even actors have been asked not to talk about the film as yet”.

The source went on to say, “Ayushmann absolutely loved the film’s idea and also, he has always been a fan of Sriram. In fact, his name was in Ayushmann’s list of directors that he always wanted to work with”.

The shoot for the film is expected to begin this year. “Ayushmann has already wrapped three films – while Meri Pyaari Bindu is ready for release, Bareilly Ki Barfi is in the dubbing stages and Shubh Mangal Saavdhan has been wrapped up. So, he is happy that he can fully concentrate on Sriram’s film now,” added the insider.

For now, Khurrana will be seen in ‘Meri Pyaari Bindu’ which releases this month.
