Ayushmann Khurrana ecstatic about brother’s debut with Aamir Khan
Ayushmann Khurrana is delighted that his younger brother Aparshakti, who is betterknown for being a radio jockey and theatre actor, will be making his debut in Hindi cinema with theincredible Aamir Khan in their upcoming film Dangal۪.
Khurrana told Times of India, I am glad that he is doing a film of that stature and is working withAamir Khan. It is really good for him. He added that Nitesh Tiwari۪s directorial is “the right film” forhis brother. “He is also a brilliant actor, singer… We have played cricket and at the same time he wasthe captain of the Haryana 19 team. I think ‘Dangal’ is the right film (for him). He speaks fluentHaryanvi as well apart from Punjabi.
Dangal۪ will see Khan portray the role of Mahavir Singh Phogat, who taught wrestling to hisdaughters Geeta Phogat and Babita Kumari. Phogat went on to become India’s first female wrestlerto win at the 2010 Commonwealth Games, where she clinched the gold medal (55 kg) while Kumariwon the silver (51 kg). Khan plays both the younger and older characters of Phogat in the film, wherehe had put on nearly 95kg to play the older part.
It is not yet confirmed what role junior Khurrana will play, but reports suggest that Khan wassearching for someone with a resonating voice and screen presence which is something juniorKhurrana has.
Dangal۪ is set to release on 23rd December 2016.
