Ayushmann Khurrana approached for ‘Hungama 2’?

Despite having released 13 years ago, there has been much anticipation as to if and when producer Ratan Jain and director Priyadarshan would come together and make a sequel to their hit film ‘Hungama’ (2003). Well, if news is to be believed the wait is now over, and the filmmakers are already in the midst of the hunt for actors

According to Box Office India, with the sequel consisting of a brand new cast, Priyadarshan has approached Ayushmann Khurrana to play one of the male leads, as well as ‘M.S. Dhoni: The Untold Story’ (2016) starer Disha Patani, as the female lead. The search for the second actor is still ongoing.

Apparently the director had a number of scripts for ‘Hungama 2’ however could only start searching for actors once he had a final script. ‘Hungama’ starred Akshaye Khanna, Aftab Shivdisani, Rimi Sen, Paresh Rawal and Shoma Anand was a big success, where they all created comedy magic on screen.
