He could very well be described as the man of the moment but director Ayan Mukerji whose latest offering, ‘Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewani’, is enjoying huge success worldwide is not celebrating as yet.
The film is set to break records of weekend collections with a prediction of 60 crores on the cards at the domestic box office. As quoted by Deccan Chronicle, Mukerji described his feeling, “Overwhelmed would be too small a word for what I am feeling currently…It was all worth it after all. The collections are beyond expectations. Yes, we expected a very good start for the film, but this? This is unbelievable. I am shocked even though this is my own film”.
The 29-year-old thinks back to his first movie, ‘Wake Up Sid’ (2009), “Though people tell me that they loved Wake Up Sid, I always carried this grudge that it didn۪t do as well as I had expected. Guess Yeh Jawaani… is compensating for Wake Up Sid. I am truly content and justified now.
Mukerji said he will celebrate the success once the film has held it’s spot at the box office for the rest of the week.
