Awaaz Radio in breach with Ofcom for licence fee non-payment

High Wycombe’s Asian community radio station, Awaaz Radio has been rapped by Ofcom.

Awaaz Radio was amongst seven other stations listed in Ofcom’s fortnightly Broadcast Bulletin for not paying its annual licence fee.

Ofcom said that it was putting these licensees on notice that this contravention of their licences will be considered for the imposition of a statutory sanction, which may include a financial penalty and/or licence revocation.
