Station Manager and presenter of Southampton’s Awaaz FM, Rozi Mughal has passed away, just three days after getting married.
The Daily Echo reports that Mughal died of a brain hemorrhage in Pakistan on 25th August. She was in her mid-20s and had been working at the station for around three years.
In a statement, Ali Beg of Awaaz FM Community Radio, said, “She was energetic, reliable, a bubbly personality and truly the face of Awaaz.
“Still in her 20s, Rozi had travelled to Pakistan and had just been married three days.
“Her absence will be sorely missed and we ask that everyone prays for her departed soul and also for her family and in-laws who loved her so much to get through this difficult time.”
Awaaz FM launched ten years ago to serve the Asian community in Hampshire.
