Awaaz FM & Eava FM in breach of Ofcom rules for late finance reports
Ofcom has published a formal notice identifying several community radio stations that failed to submit their required financial reports by the stipulated deadline.
The following licensees provided their returns after the due date and have consequently been found in breach of Licence Condition 9(1) and/or 10(1) under their Community Radio Service licences:
– Awaaz FM Community Radio CIC (Awaaz FM)
– St Matthews Community Solution Centre Ltd (Eava FM)
– Hayes FM – Film & Media (Hayes FM)

Ofcom regards such failures as a serious regulatory concern. A licensee’s inability to submit accurate and timely financial data constitutes a fundamental breach of its obligations, as the absence of this information prevents Ofcom from effectively discharging its oversight responsibilities.
