Avtar Lit’s Jeo Radio removed from DAB in London

Avtar Lit’s beleaguered Asian station, Jeo Radio has been removed from the DAB in London.

As revealed exclusively on BizAsiaLive.com last month, the station was removed from its analogue frequency, 1584AM (North London) due to non-payment. A few days later, Jeo Radio’s director, Sarita Sabharwal resigned after the station switched away from live presenters to automation.

Jeo Radio launched around six months ago as Lit’s big comeback to UK Asian radio broadcasting after Sunrise Radio, he had founded, went into administration in 2014. Earlier in the year, Tony Patti who was fronting the Jeo Radio’s Breakfast show, left to focus on other bigger radio projects.

Jeo Radio was available in London via Switchdigital’s London II multiplex.

Jeo Radio continues to stream music online.
