Avinash Tiwary to join ‘The Girl On The Train’ remake?

Ribhu Dasgupta’s ‘The Girl On The Train’ (2016) remake is inching closer to production as the makers reportedly finalise Avinash Tiwary to join the cast alongside Parineeti Chopra.

Tiwary is rumoured to be playing the role of Chopra’s ex-husband. “Avinash has a great screen presence, and the makers needed an actor who also did not have too much of an image, as it is principally a female-driven subject and the male should not have any audience sympathy at any point,” a trade source told Deccan Chronicle. Tiwary was previously seen in ‘Laila Majnu’ (2018), which features a critically acclaimed performance by him as Qais/Majnu.

Chopra will begin shooting for Dasgupta’s film next month in England.
