Atif Aslam to perform live for the first time since the COVID outbreak

As the world is working its way back to a level of “normalcy”, this new year is about bringing happiness to people through music and entertainment. Soul of Bollywood music, singer Atif Aslam, will be performing for the first time since the COVID19 outbreak on the 15th of January 2021, as part of the annual Dubai Shopping Festival extravaganza. The special live concert is organized by lifestyle and management company, Blu Blood, with the support of Dubai Tourism Corporation.

The world-renowned singer is known to have successfully bridged the cultural gap between Pakistan and India, contributing his talent to a number of Bollywood hits. Fans will be treated to some of his most popular numbers including ‘Woh Lamhe’, ‘Tu Jaane Na’ and ‘O Saathi’ from the Bollywood blockbuster, ‘Baaghi 2’. It is an indoor music concert since the pandemic started for the Indian Diaspora and Bollywood lovers in Dubai.

Talking about the event, Atif Aslam stated, “Since the unfortunate coronavirus outbreak, this would be my first onstage performance. I am humbled to be a part of the concert and to be able to continue entertaining my fans in this testing time. I couldn’t think of a better way to start off the new year in an attempt to keep the spirits high and heal through music.”

Not new to the Dubai stage, Atif Aslam is extremely popular in the Indian and Pakistani communities living in Dubai & has set unprecedented examples in the music industry. The concert will take place at the Sheikh Rashid Hall at DWTC. Aligning with COVID precautions, the capacity of the hall will be reduced to 1400 from 4400 to maintain social distancing protocols among the crew, performers and patrons.

The world continues to shift on a path of renewed energy and with Dubai leading the way into the new year, Atif Aslam’s live in Concert will be a much-needed source of energy for its patrons. Atif Aslam is confident this collaboration will leave a lasting joy on its audience and be a great distraction in keeping them entertained after so long but also a way to connect with Bollywood lovers across the world.
