Atif Aslam croons for ‘Hindi Medium’

After the recent ban on Pakistani artists in Bollywood causing issues for a few films in the last six months or so, Pakistani singer Atif Aslam will be heard lending his vocals to the forthcoming film ‘Hindi Medium’.

The film stars Irrfan Khan and Pakistani actress Saba Qamar. Aslam told Mid-Day, “Bollywood has always given me a lot of love. I have always been appreciated by Indian fans and I hope they love my new song too. I had worked with Dinesh Vijan [producer] in Badlapur (2015). It was an amazing experience. Hoor portrays the journey of a couple’s growth in love. Composers Sachin-Jigar always surprise me with their talent.”

The song is a romantic track picturised on Khan. Aslam added, “It is pretty unusual for him [to feature in a love track]. I am excited that I am lending my voice [to him]”.
