Atif Aslam brands North America tour “fake” in social media post

Singer Atif Aslam has strongly criticised a promoter for “falsely” advertising a North American ‘Borderless Tour’, branding the promotional material as “fake.”

Earlier this week, Dembi Productions, which claims to be Atif Aslam’s official National Promoter since 2020, released posters for the tour scheduled in May and September 2025.

Aslam took to Facebook to clarify the situation, stating, “Dear North American fans, we are reaching out with concern for our dedicated supporters and their passion for our music. Please be aware that we are not involved in any of the tours or concerts currently being advertised in North America under our name. Some of these posters, shown below, are entirely fake and promoting events without our consent.

Please do not purchase tickets for any concerts in North America unless they are officially announced on our Facebook page.”

In response, Puroo Kaul from Dembi Productions issued a strong rebuttal and threatened legal action against Aslam. He stated, “I am Puroo Kaul, and until now, I have been the National Promoter for Atif Aslam. I have been associated with him since 2020 and have organised over 60 shows worldwide.

Today, I was shocked to see Atif Aslam’s Facebook post alleging that my upcoming shows in various U.S. cities are fake. I have attempted to contact him directly but have not been able to speak with him.

I want to clarify that these shows are legitimate. I have a signed contract with Atif Aslam for his performances in May and September in the U.S., and I have already transferred an advance payment of $400,000 via wire transfer. I have proof of all financial transactions and agreements.

Additionally, I have sold these shows to the promoters he referred to, and they have paid advances as per our contracts. It is surprising and disappointing that he is now claiming these events are fake.

I have requested that he remove the post and issue an apology. If he does not comply, I will have no choice but to initiate legal proceedings, though I sincerely hope to avoid such action.

To reassure everyone in the U.S., these shows are scheduled at reputable venues, and tickets are being issued through Ticketmaster.

I will wait 24 hours for Atif’s response. If he does not address this matter, I will proceed with legal action against him, and other promoters are also considering similar steps.

I hope this issue can be resolved amicably so that we can move forward with the plans already in place. In the meantime, I request that no derogatory remarks be made about anyone involved and urge people to await my official update.

Thank you.”
