Athiya Shetty to play reel daughter to real father in ‘Circus’?

Athiya Shetty has recently been confirmed to have signed her second film, ‘Mubarakan’. It’s also being reported that she may feature in the forthcoming Sooraj Pancholi starrer ‘Circus’ being made by Bosco Martis. Interestingly, if rumours are true then her own father Suniel Shetty will be playing her father in the film too.

“Circus is the emotional story about a father and a daughter; both trapeze artists. Sunil has been selective in signing on films in the last few years, but he immediately said yes to this one,” said a source, according to TOI.

Shetty and Pancholi debuted together in 2015’s ‘Hero’. The source added, “Sooraj and Athiya would be seen doing some daredevil acts and there is also a romantic track between the two”.

It’s thought international circus professionals will also be an important part of the film.
