‘Hero’ (2015) fame actress Athiya Shetty, who is the daughter of yesteryear۪s superstar Suniel Shetty, feels acting with her father in a film would surely be a weird experience for her.

“Acting with dad will be weird. I will be scared most of the time,” Athiya told Hindustan Times, adding that if given a chance, she would love to groove on the beats of her father۪s superhit song ‘Shehar ki ladki’.

“If I have to choose a song, which is being remade, then it would surely be ‘Shehar ki ladki’,” said the actress, who forayed into Indian filmdom with the remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1983 blockbuster movie Hero.

Athiya, who used to be feared of telling her father about her passion of coming into the field of acting, has marked her debut alongside another debutant Sooraj Pancholi, who is the son of actor Aditya Panchol. The couple entered the Hindi film industry with Salman Khan’s co-production venture ‘Hero’.

The emerging diva of Bollywood confessed that she isn’t thinking about competing with her contemporaries as other actress like Alia Bhatt and Parineeti Chopra have also proved their acting talent on the big screen. “Alia, Parineeti and Shraddha Kapoor… all of them are extremely talented. They have proved themselves as actors and have proved themselves as singers, dancers, and as artistes. I have barely stepped into the industry,” she said.

On joining the league of singer-actresses, Athiya said that she, however, is a bathroom-singer, though she would never let an opportunity of singing go by.
