Athiya Shetty does not deny signing ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake

Much speculation has been doing the rounds as to who will be cast in Karan Johar and Rohit Shetty’s remake of Subhash Ghai’s ‘Ram Lakhan’ (1989). ��It can be noted that recently it was heard that Johar had approached Athiya Shetty with an offer for a film, though it was not known which film. ��Apparently the film Johar approached the young actress with is the ‘Ram Lakhan’ remake and the actress has given her nod.

At a recent event, Shetty was asked if she had signed the remake, and DNA India��claim that the actress chose neither to accept or dismiss��the rumour, instead just smiling and maintaining the suspense.

It is not yet known if the actress��may be seen in the role earlier essayed by Dimple Kapadia or Madhuri Dixit in the original. ��Ironically, Shetty’s debut film, ‘Hero’, was also a remake of a Subhash Ghai film.

Many names are also being speculated for the title roles of Ram and Lakhan, from Ranveer Singh, Arjun Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra to the more senior Hrithik Roshan and Abhishek Bachchan.
