While debutantes Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi are gearing up for their first release, the duo seem to have become quite good friends. Pancholi has recently been making headlines for his alleged involvement in the Jiah Khan suicide case. Shetty says that she has never judged Pancholi, despite this, and feels he is a humble person.
In her first-ever interview, the star daughter toldFilmfare, “I believe when people have the opportunity to interact with him (Pancholi), it will change their opinion of him… He’s one of the most genuine and humble persons I’ve met. I never saw him in that light. I never judged him. We never spoke about it (the Jiah Khan case) either.”
“I’m happy I’m debuting with him. We have a great comfort level… We are good friends,” she added.
The industry kids are being launched in Salman Khan’s production, ‘Hero’, which has beendirected by Nikhil Advani. The film is a remake of Subhash Ghai’s 1980s hit of the same name and is slated for release on July 3rd.
