Asin replaces Sonakshi Sinha in ‘Welcome’ sequel

Asin has replaced Sonakshi Sinha in the sequel of ‘Welcome’, BizAsia can confirm.

The actress will play the sister of Uday Shetty played by Nana Patekar in the film.

A source told Mid-Day, ���Sona has multiple films in her hands and although she was keen to do the film, she could not adjust her dates. The film is a multi-starrer, so adjusting everyone�۪s dates was a hassle. However Asin has now been finalised and she has signed the film on Sunday night.�۝

Anees Bazmee confirmed the news and said Sinha had to pull out due to date issues. He added that Asin was always his choice for the role anyway.
