Asian Wedding Exhibition fever hits STAR One

UK�۪s cutting edge television channel STAR One was the media sponsor for this year�۪s Asian Wedding Exhibition 2008, which took place on 8th and 9th March 2008 at the Alexandra Palace.

The weekend provided a one-stop shop for all brides and grooms to-be who were planning for their big day, and to prepare them, STAR One will be showcasing, a first of its kind, one-hour special dedicated to organising the perfect wedding, which will be broadcast on STAR One at 21:00 on Sunday 30th March 2008 and repeated at 20:00 on Sunday 13th April 2008.

Innovative wedding cars, exotic and exquisite mandaps, captivating fashion shows and previews of the coming season�۪s collections will be among the features of the one-hour special programme. ‘Tips and tricks’ from the top-end group of experts, spanning fashion and food to beauty and bhangra bands have also been included to make the programme educational and entertaining.

Now in its 15th year, the Asian Wedding Exhibition, the largest event of its kind in the UK, brought together the best of Asian bridal fashion and beauty proving a phenomenal hit with Brit-Asian fashionistas and brides and grooms-to-be. Visitors were among the first to see some of the season�۪s latest collections, cuts and colours, from the hottest international designers. With over a hundred wedding specialists participating, from jewellers and beauticians to caterers, florists, photographers and even venue representatives, the exhibition constantly proves to be a one-stop shop for all wedding needs and it�۪s all under one roof.

Since its launch, STAR One, the contemporary sister channel of STAR Plus, has been wowing British Asian audiences with a diverse line up of shows that take viewers away from the regular fare that is available on TV today.
