Asian Sound Radio to go national on DAB this month

Manchester based commercial Asian station, Asian Sound Radio has announced it will be going national on DAB later this month.

Asian Sound Radio has been running promos with a countdown to the launch on Saturday 27th May. It will become the latest commercial station to launch on national DAB after Sunrise Radio, Panjab Radio and Awesome Radio. Incidentally, Awesome Radio is Asian Sound Radio’s sister station – however, there seems to be uncertainty surrounding the future of Awesome Radio, which has been broadcasting a music playlist (without presenter) since its launch over a year ago. An official announcement from Asian Sound Radio is expected in the next few days.

Asian Sound Radio has been broadcasting since 1996 in Manchester and Lancashire.
