Asian Media Awards to return in new format this year
Organisers at the annual Asian Media Awards have confirmed that this year’s event will return in a different format amid the coronavirus lockdown.
As well as few nomination categories, Asian Media Awards 2020 may return in a digital format instead, in accordance with government restrictions.
The ceremony was due to be held in Manchester on Thursday 29th October with a Shortlist Announcement taking place in London on Monday 15th September. This year’s event will be held this Autumn/Winter either in London or digitally. A further announcement is expected to be made in the summer.
The 2020 Asian Media Awards will be recognising work in the following categories:
Journalism
Journalist of the Year
Best Investigation
Outstanding Young Journalist
Regional Journalist of the Year
Report of the Year
Radio
Best Radio Show
Radio Presenter of the Year
Online
Best Blog
Marketing & PR
Media Agency of the Year
Live Productions
Best Stage Production
Nominations for these categories are now open and work/events must be dated from 1st May 2019 to 20th August 2020. The closing date for all entries is 23:59 on Friday 21st August.
