Asian Media Awards 2024: Shortlist announced
The organisers of the Asian Media Awards have announced the finalists for this year’s event, which takes place at Hilton Manchester Deansgate on Friday 25th October.
The awards celebrate journalism, radio, television, online, theatre, creative media and marketing. Five special awards will highlight the work of actors, journalists, writers and broadcasters who have helped to define the media landscape with their outstanding work.
Previous recipients of an Asian Media Award include BizAsiaLive.com, Krishnan Guru-Murthy, Waris Hussein, Art Malik, Mehdi Hasan, Nina Wadia, Anita Rani, Shobna Gulati, Faisal Islam, Kulvinder Ghir, Adil Ray, Lisa Aziz, Meera Syal, Sanjeev Bhaskar, Tina Daheley & Mihir Bose.

The awards are now in their 12th year and celebrate achievements in a range of categories in journalism, TV, radio, stage, online and creative media.
An Asian Media Awards spokesperson said: “Over the past eleven years the awards have helped to shine a light on a range of issues through in-depth investigation, reports, programming and live productions.
“This year is no different and comes at a time when the importance of diversity within newsrooms and storylines is more important than ever.
“We are delighted to be celebrating this work, much of which has been produced and aired against growing individual and organisational challenges.”
BizAsiaLive.com is proud once again to be nominated for the Best Website category.
