Ashutosh Gowariker approaches Disha Patani for next?

Despite only being three films old, it seems Disha Patani has been on the radar a lot recently. Having been rumoured to be a part of a number of projects, there seems to be one filmmaker in particular who may be very keen on getting her on board for his next.

According to Asian Age, Ashutosh Gowariker is currently on the hunt for a female lead in his forthcoming untitled project. Apparently, the filmmaker has decided to move away from his genre of period drama, and has decided to make a modern day, light hearted film instead.

The report goes on to add, that Gowariker had also spoken to Farhan Akhtar for a part in the film, however there has been no confirmation to this as yet.

Patani’s last stint came earlier this year in the Jackie Chan starrer ‘Kung Fu Yoga’ (2017).
