Ashanti Omkar leaves BBC Asian Network after seven years
Ashanti Omkar has fronted her final show on the BBC Asian Network after seven years.
The popular media personality bid adieu to listeners this evening. She was the host of the station’s show targeting South Indian and Sri Lankan communities in the UK.
Omkar said, “It’s been an utter joy to make history at the BBC Asian Network by championing South India, Sri Lanka, the crossover and the multitude of languages of the global diaspora.”
After seven wonderful years, today will be @AshantiOmkar's last show on Asian Network.
