ARY’s Salman Iqbal acquires team in Pakistan Super League

ARY Network President and CEO, Salman Iqbal has acquired the Karachi team in the forthcoming Pakistan Super League (PSL).

According to ARY News, Iqbal’s bid was the highest made for any franchise, making it the most expensive in the PSL. Reports say many participated in the bidding but ARY�۪s bid emerged successful.

Iqbal said the successful bid was evidence of ARY’s commitment to the betterment of cricket and that it had been doing this in the past as well.

The Pakistan Cricket Board plans to have the PSL from 4th – 24th February 2016 in Dubai and Sharjah but are yet to reveal the financial model of the league.
