ARY QTV becomes free-to-air channel on Sky Digital

ARY Network’s Islamic religious channel, ARY QTV, is becoming a free-to-air channel on Sky Digital from Tuesday 2nd August.

BizAsia.co.uk had reported about the channel’s imminent new status a few days ago through our Industry Whisper.

The channel confirmed to BizAsia.co.uk that the channel will no longer be sold as a standalone channel. Currently it is available as an add-on with the VIEWASIA bundle but from Tuesday 2nd August ARY QTV will be free-to-air.

Incidentally, ARY QTV will become a free-to-air service at the start of Ramadan. However, viewers will be pleased to read that the channel will remain free post Ramadan as part of the channel’s new strategy.

ARY QTV joins a slew of other Islamic channels that have been broadcasting free-to-air on the digital satellite platform for many years. It will face competition from the likes of Islam Channel, Peace TV, Noor TV, Ahlebait TV, amongst others.

ARY QTV is available on channel 804 on Sky Digital.
