ARY News UK cleared by Ofcom for “breach”
UK media regulator, Ofcom, has cleared ARY News UK for a breach it was investigating over the past few weeks.
Without disclosing much, it was thought Ofcom was investigating the channel for “provision of information”. However, today, the channel was given the all-clear.
BizAsiaLive.com understands that this investigation had no link with the recent court ruling against ARY News, in which rival, Geo TV’s owner, Jang Group won a libel case against the leading Urdu news broadcaster.
Meanwhile, a separate breach on ARY Digital is being investigated by Ofcom under licence “General Procedures”.
