ARY Network’s three UK TV channels (ARY Digital, ARY News and ARY QTV)and MATV Leicester have come in serious breach with Ofcom’s regulations.

The two broadcasters have failed to submit payment for their Ofcom licences after “repeated requests”.

Ofcom said it was putting these licensees on notice that their present contravention of their licences is being considered for the imposition of a statutory sanction, including licence revocation.

Failure by a licensee to pay its licence fee when required represents a serious and fundamental breach of a broadcast licence, as it means that Ofcom is unable properly to carry out its regulatory duties.
