ARY Digital to encrypt QTV on Monday

ARY Digital will encrypt its Islamic religious channel QTV on Sky Digital, this Monday (2nd June).

A spokesman for the network confirmed the move to BizAsia.co.uk, saying it was the right time to scramble the service after two years of free sampling.

Our source also said that QTV has unravelled new shows produced locally from London and Manchester. The programmes have been welcomed by community leaders and various mosque representatives. He also said that there will be many more live programmes commencing in days to come.

QTV will be available as a standalone channel for 4.99 per month, with no connection fee or annual contract.

Flagship channel ARY Digital remains a part of MAX Mix and ARY One World is currently broadcasting free-to-air. The news channel replaced The Muzik last year during the Pakistan elections.
